Designed by Ana Rita Soares and her talented team, Aroeira stands out with its striking architectural features and meticulous attention to detail. The house boasts four suites, including a master suite, a guest suite, and a child's suite, along with an office, living room, dining room, and mezzanine. The design prioritizes social spaces and embraces natural light through expansive glass windows, creating a seamless connection between the indoors and outdoors.
One of the key inspirations for Aroeira was the client's love for African aesthetics, which the Atelier expertly incorporated into the design. By blending elements from the client's personal collection with natural wood accents, Ana Rita Soares created an ethnic style that resonates with the client's preferences.
The Atelier's meticulous approach to Aroeira is evident in every aspect of the design. They carefully selected and designed all finishes and materials, including the bathrooms, to ensure a cohesive and harmonious aesthetic. Structural elements, such as the fireplace wall and double ceiling height cabinets, were seamlessly integrated into the architecture, further enhancing the overall design.
Using their signature custom-made approach, the Atelier developed 3D renders and floor plans to bring their vision to life. Portuguese carpentry was employed to manufacture the bespoke furniture pieces, which seamlessly complement the contemporary architectural lines of the house.
Aroeira spans three floors, with the ground floor covering 215.09 m2 and the top floor measuring 143.78 m2. The ground floor features an inviting entry hall, a spacious living room, a game room, and a dining room. The top floor houses a mezzanine/office space, a luxurious master suite, a mother-in-law suite, and a child's bedroom.
Throughout the design process, the Atelier faced various challenges, including creating a cozy atmosphere in the double ceiling height living room. They overcame these obstacles by designing larger-than-standard furniture pieces and incorporating visually appealing elements, such as the fireplace wall, to enhance the space.
Aroeira is a testament to the Atelier's dedication to creating unique and personalized spaces. The result is a harmonious blend of contemporary design, rustic charm, and African-inspired elements that perfectly reflect the clients' tastes and desires.
Featured in the Lux Deco magazine 2021 fall edition and the TV program Posso Entrar, Aroeira has garnered well-deserved recognition for its exceptional design. In 2022, it was awarded the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category, further solidifying its status as an outstanding and creatively ingenious project.
Aroeira is a true masterpiece, showcasing the talent and expertise of Ana Rita Soares and her team at the Ana Rita Soares Interior Design Atelier. It is a testament to their ability to create spaces that not only elevate daily living but also provide a serene sanctuary in the heart of nature.
